I lost my tune a while back. I still have a cam to install, so after the install would like to tune.

Does any one have a Dimsport tool to spare? I know many want to get rid off them to get the AP instead.

I think you might want to post in the 1st gen section.

 

Why, the Dimsport only works with the r56.

Ok, I see why, Not sure if it will work on the R53.

 

I do believe Jan has a dimsport tool for the R53 but is not the same unit as the R56 model.

 

Yeah I messed up posting as 2nd gen. Now how do I change the thread to 1st gen or does a moderator need to do it?

 

We use DS software and you have to purchase the dimsport tool from the Tuner that is going to write your tune. The Dimsport module is coded to the Tuner. Also once the dimsport tool has been used on a car you can't use it for another car the VIN of whatever car you use it on is burnt onto it. This is why a used DS tool is useless to anyone else.

 

Is there any way to re-write/re-program the tool with a different VIN? and how much do you sell one of this tools?
