Drivetrain v36 software and powerchip?

The problem more is that v.36 software will help some owners with stumble and not all with yo-yo.
It is possible for your MINI to do worse after installing v.36.
Anybody had that happen yet?
So PowerChip did not help your yo-yo. That is surprising. You have the pulley as well?
Or do you have Webb/PowerChip which is slightly different?
Why don't you ask Randy about changing to v.36 looking for any improvement in yo-yo.
For the hassle of changing to v.36 and redoing ECU upgrade it might not even help that much.

The way it was explained to me is as follows:
I had version 3.2 on my MCS when I sent it off to Powerchip to have it "tweaked" . They therfore used the 3.2 version and built upon it/made changes to it.
If I decide to upgrade to the 3.6 version....I will loose all benefit of my 3.2 version tweaked Powerchip upgrade. My car will be changed to the 3.6 version.
Inow...... have (2) choices at this point.
1.) I can simply re-flash the car using the old file and return my car to the Powerchip tweak applied to version 3.2 . This file still exists on my hard drive as well as the original 3.2 version with out any powerchip enhancements.
OR
2.) I can go forward and upgrade to the 3.6 version software on my car.
Then I must download it to a laptop and send it off to Powerchip via e-mail to be enhanced/tweaked.. Powerchip will then tweak the 3.6 version software by adding the powerchip enhancements and send it back to me via email. I will them upload the file to my ECU. I will now....have the 3.6 version software tweaked/enhanced by powerchip on my car.
Hope this helps..
Peace,
D

factoids:
no aftermarket ECU mapping will effect the Yo-Yo, since the yo-yo is not related to ECU mapping.
Version 36 will not solve the Yo-Yo; it only fixes the cold-start and stumble issues.
My advice - if you have the yo-yo, hold off getting V36 (and subsequently losing your aftermarket mapping) until the Yo-Yo mystery is solved.
