Yes, it'll fit on all the turbo Minis so far.

I've had this spring for a couple months now. Jeff let me be a guinea pig =) It makes a slight but noticeable difference.

It's like the boost comes back up quicker. I don't know that it would make any difference on a dyno but you can tell a difference when driving around rowing through the gears.

For the price I'd say it's a worthy upgrade.

Somehow I missed this thread when it first came up or I would have commented already.

Nice. I'm thinking about getting it. Sounds like a good bang for the buck?

I think so. You do notice a difference and for $26 you can't go wrong.

On a JCW, the upgrade isn't quite as significant, since the JCW spring is harder than the S, so imagine the difference on a S car!

You're right, it won't make a difference on the dyno, since you aren't shifting. It just improves the way the car feels.

Thanks for testing the part for us!

i Also believe 2010 s's have the same valve as jcw's, with my boost levels i need this as a sharp shift from 3rd to 4th can sometimes make the valve stick open causing me to let off and then re applyu throttle to close it.

Sorry, but why are you saying this again on an unqualified basis? Read back to my post #3 and your reply #5; it was confirmed before (after the post was down for a day) that JCW and S's were the same as of 2010, confirmed at the part number level.

Is it fair to say that the throttle response is improved since more boost is maintained between shifts? In particular, when I downshift with heel toe, does it make it easier? Thanks!

Installed. Definite improvment on boost build. I wonder if i can close this some how without getting a cel since the air stays in the system w or w/out the recirculation effect.

A buddy of mine put it in his 2011 and noticed a difference, especially in the 1-2 shift he said it hardly blows off if at all and the boost is ready to go once he has shifted.

Me and a mini tech good friend of mine will be experimenting on running a mechanically closed system. Gotta find out what sensors are checked regarding in system air etc. I would like to have a closed system.

Was the installation pretty straight forward without any issues? Mine gets here Monday.

Thanks

Yeah, 5mm allen for the 3 bolts, pop it out replace spring and snap it together and rebolt. Do you real good to remove the 8mm that holds the reservior tank for better access.

This spring is perfect, i just want the boost to stay in the pressurized system and not recirculate.
