requesting engine dimensions

does anyone have an engine blueprint? essentially a picture with measurements written on it.
I was curious to see if the hartley H1 would fit in our engine bay. (i dont have the funds to try it... but hey, one can dream...)

yes, but im inquiring as to the r56 engine bay, as its slightly taller than the r53's
countryman's is bigger still.
On that note, does anyone know what transmission they are using in the all4?
Its listed as the same on the miniusa website (getrag 253) but that is a transverse fwd tranny. not transverse awd tranny (web designer didn't change the info for the all4 section...)

Although I haven't spent longer than 2 secs reading/learning about the Countryman...from what I've heard it is essentially FWD (the All4).

It's very much like the Haldex-based AWD Audi's (like the TT), it is a clutch based AWD system, not a permanent AWD system like Torsen. So its basically a FWD car, that will transfer the power to the back on an as-needed basis.

lame... but i kind of expected as much.
xtrac makes an awd rally box for rally under super 2000 regulations for transverse engines that they will make available in customer specified mounting points, bellhousing mounts, and various driveline and output flanges.
only rated for up to 185ftlb though...
