Intercooler Accessories

Does anyone have any input on these products, any real gains? I’ve still got my warranty and don’t want to be cutting and switching out the intercooler yet..

A) there is no cutting with the intercooler...at least not with the Helix or Forge

B) an intercooler won't affect the warranty...if anything it helps the car run SAFER

Skip the BS products and get a proper intercooler

All the products you listed are garbage. Nothing replaces a bigger intercooler.

If the part didn't cause a warranty problem, you're legally in the clear.

...good luck proving that. This goes back to the old debate over the MM warranty act. I don't know of anybody who's litigated with that and won. The dealer/manufacturer wins every time.

Classic in cleveland says they will not warranty the moded part or damage that it me do. I.e. Put an cai on that does not void the warranty on the motor just they are not going to cover your cai.

My dealer is very reasonable with people that mod their cars. As many have said before, it depends who is managing your local dealer.

Oh no...I know what you are saying. It basically comes down to whether or not your dealer is cool or not. I was just making that point that even though you are within your rights, it is their perogative that determines whether or not they want to service your car with aftermarket mods. I know that some BMW dealerships will flat out come out and say absolutely ANYTHING aftermarket in the engine compartment voids your warranty. Period. So, one really needs to feel out their service dept/dealer prior to making aftermarket mods. You might show up to pick your car up after a service and be greatly disappointed. You would be amazed at what these places can and will void a warranty for.
