No difference AS of 2010

That is, 2010 S's show the same part number as the JCW per realOEM parts listings. IIRC, break point was in the years before that where there was a difference.

I was just on RealOEM and can't find the chart with the R56 diverter valve on it. What am I missing? I want to get the size of the bolts that hold it on.

BTW, I ended up going back to the OEM insides. I was definitely not boosting as high with the VW parts.

The mod definitely had it's benefits but one of the down sides seems to be poor gas mileage. I swaped back to stock to see if my suspicions are correct.

These bolts can be bought at any hardware store ... like lowes or home depot. I just bought 4 of them on Sunday at Lowes for like 3.70 for four bolts. The only difference is that these bolts are black and not silver like the OEM bolts.

I did check with the dealer on these bolts last week and they want 9 dollars a bolt.

Thanks rohicks and bigprfed22. 9 bucks apiece at the dealer and a few pence at the hardware store? That sounds about right.

Back to stock, MPG is up about 5-7mpg. Any one want the VAG DV? Shoot me a PM, I'll flat rate it to you for $60.

I have the VAG DV installed for a few weeks now and see no decrease in mpg's. In fact I got 36mpg driving the 12 hours home from the dragon.

Found out from MINI today what P303e is finally....I've got it from time to time ever since I've had an AccessPort.

In simple terms, it is a coding error within the ECU. It shouldn't affect anything really, but its basically directly caused by the AP and how it is written to the ECU. Something in the ECU recognizes things aren't quite how they should be and it throws that code. Never had it with my Dimsport tune......

Thanks Thumper, I have had the same issue when I went to Stage3 (P303e), but never saw this code when I was on stage 1. I wonder if Alta can fix the Stage 3 maps?

I'm 98% sure I've only ever gotten it when I run the "stock" setting on the AP...

My custom AP tune has never given me it. I've never run any of the "staged" tunes so I have no idea if it comes up on those too...

Hey Thumper thanks, I talked to Alta, and they said I didn't have to worry about it, so I'm not.
I'm running a stage 1 right now, and it seemed like just pushing the button gave the code.
Anyway, I'm waiting for a FMIC so I can change stages, and see if anything is different. Thanks again .

Just my 2 cents but any tune that gives a code has a problem. I have never gotten any codes from my Dimsport tune from Jan. If it is something to do with how the tune is written to the ECU and your getting some sort of checksum error code you could have potential problems down the road. I know Jan usally sends the stock file to Dimsport to have them check it out before he modifies it to ensure no checksum errors. Maybe the "one size fits all" AccessPort is flawed.

I think this is exactly it...

There are too many variations between each ECU that if the slightest thing is off it will throw the coding error. As I said, I too have never had it with my Dimsport tunes and do not have it with my custom AP tune.

I found this out straight from MINI too.

Was it you, I heard, that had their engine throw a rod?

Couldn't someone make a metal version of the stock innards? Wouldn't that stop the issue of tearing diaphragms? BSH seems to make some nicely turned products... hint.

I got the latest Forge DV from Way Motor Works and It works great. I reallly like the way it is designed to activate from the hose connections for both open and closed positions.
