Mods without Turbo-back exhaust

I drive a 2011 MCSa, and plan on adding NM CAI with Helix intercooler and BOV, along with the air charge and discharge pipes -- no change in exhaust at this time. Anyone have an idea what WHP I'd be seeing with these mods, or improved performance (response, mpg, etc.).

An AP and turbo-back exhaust will need to wait until warranty expires.

Sorry but intercooler and tubes will not affect your warranty...

A BOV might, but if you actually mean a diverter valve...they will never even know you changed it.

The only thing that is iffy with warranty is a tune.

Thanks for the feedback but I'm not too concerned that what I want to do effects warranty -- I understand that. I'm looking to see if the mods make sense, add WHP, or how performance will be affected. Since there are no tunes out yet for the 2011's, I thought I'd do some other things in preparation.

Don't waste your money on a BOV, you don't need one. CAIs don't do much unless you like the added noise. Apparently the only one that does the job and is an acual CAI is the DOS intake. The intercooler upgrade will help and after reading a lot about mods, seems to be the best mod. Other than that start saving for an AccessPort and wait for the 2011 maps. I had one on my STi and want one for my MINI. Best mod I bought for the STi and will lead to getting the most out of your later mods.

Thanks for the advice; it is very appreciated. -- BZ

If any thing is left on the car then yes they can tell for sure. If it's removed you have a very good chance of not getting caught as long as the reinstall is done right.

The issue with a catless DP is that you will lose a significant amount of low end HP and TQ. It's really not a good idea with out a tune. Of course the draw back to that is that the flash may be detectable.

The intake may or may not show a gain, but it doesn't hurt and sounds cool. The IC will help maintain power and is recommended to support future mods. The BOV (assuming DV here) will not do any thing for power.

Ok, I'm convinced the BOV (DV) is not worthwhile and the NM CAI probably adds noise. My current thinking is still the FMIC with air charge and discharge tubes, but adding a DoS CAI. The thinking is the DoS is a closed system that takes advantage of the front shield's cold air. Is this a better set up? Again, any help is appreciated. Thanks. BZ
