Best Cat-back exhaust?

I'm torn between several cat-back exhausts.

I like the sound of borla, I just don't know the difference between them. (I know touring is quiet)

I also like the sound of magnaflow, I just haven't heard of many people writing reviews on their exhaust.

Also, Alta. Their exhaust sounds different on quite a few videos. I'm quite confused.

So i'm asking you NAM members which one will suit me best.

I love deep-sounding exhaust, similar to the WRX-STi sound. Also, I like the sound of exhaust, so a little drone is okay. I love to make lots of noise, so the loudest exhaust is nice. (As FAR from stock as possible)

Thanks! Daniel

From your criteria, it sounds like you should be looking at an Invidia. From what I hear, it pretty much matches what you want perfectly. It's loud, sounds similar to a WRX STi, and it's going to drone a bit. Check out this thread. Maybe ThumperMCS will chime in, since I know he's made posts detailing how hugely happy he is with his exhaust.

The only thing keeping me from ordering the invidia system is doesn't it have only 1 cat? Does this make any difference with inspection of the vehicle?

Assuming you have a MCS there are two cats in the stock exhaust. One in Downpipe(Main Cat) and a useless, unmonitored, second cat that is part of the resonator. The Invidia system connects to the stock downpipe and gets rid of the second cat. It puts in it's place a long resonator. Unless you live in a CARB state you should not have any problems passing an emissions test. Lastly, if you did not know the JCW only has the main cat in the downpipe and as it replaces the second cat with a long resonator.

Yup Invidia is what you want

And no, the lack of 2nd cat will not be a problem

+1 more for the Invidia Q300. Nice all around sound and NOT ricey.

Well constructed, easy to install, tips fit the cutout nicely.

Daily driver here. Drone is deal breaker.

Very happy with the Invidia
