CP Pistons/Scat Rods for the R56 - Sorta
So recently i have been looking for pistons and rods as I see ours tend to have some issues.
In doing so it has been very hard to find them, until I start searching the Peugeot 207.. which ideally has the exact same motor as the R56 MCS.
Has anyone tried to put CP pistons in our car that are made for the Peugeot?

Or Scat Rods:

Thoughts?

Simply swapping to an aftermarket piston, will not cure whatever issue, you or anyone else has, you must find the cause first.

If the CP's work then that's a decent option as long as the rings can be filled to a decent gap. Had problems with them over gapping from the start. IF some one does figure out they work for sure then I would get them state side. The exchange rate on the ones in the link would be killer.
The rods may be a little sketchy. Never been a fan of scat rods. Quality control is a little shaky.

Those CP pistons will NOT work with the stock OEM connecting rods, the stock connecting rods are trapezoidal and matched to the trapezoidal stock OEM pistons.
In order to utilise those CP pistons you will have to use them with those Scat connecting rods, or another flat square shouldered connecting rod, from another aftermarket company.

Probably after reading the article about their similarity to stock THP rods, here: http://www.etuners.gr/en/index.php?s=12&t=301
Here is how you can make them fit.
First you need to machine the faces, 0.5mm on each side. That is because otherwise they will not fit on the crankshaft.
Then, you will need to machine 0.1-0.2mm from the outer sides of the connecting rod, where the bolts are. So that the rod can enter the combustion chamber. Otherwise they are wider than the diameter of the cylinder and cannot enter!
That's all ! I have installed these rods in my second engine using the modifications I described above.
