Drivetrain Check this out exhaust manifold.

Yes the turbo exhaust manifold will work on the N18 engine, I've installed a few already and it always amazes me how much low end I can feel when I drive it.

Hate responding to old threads but i figure its better than re-inventing the wheel.
Just installed the WMW manifold along with a JCW turbo and CNT 2.5" catless DP and exhaust. I also changed from Alta AP to Evolve.
Long story short. When i loaded the new evolve tune (which, according to Evolve should hit 22psi) i am only seeing 16psi.
Salman at Evolve thinks that maybe the manifold swap has something to do with it. Does anyone have any ideas? I don't think its the manifold but if anyone installed one of these please let me know your experience. The car is plenty fast and runs great right now but i know there is still 6psi to be had.
I am going to try a few things, including a leak test but i have a feeling that with the way the car runs, i will find no issues.
I appreciate the feedback guys.

Just an FYI.... I just spoke to Way on the phone and he said there is no way this manifold would cause this much of a boost loss. he said that it would take over 30% flow increase to drop the boost 5psi. While this manifold does flow better than MCS and the JCW manifold it's not drastic enough to impact boost such as i am seeing.
Any other thoughts guys? #frustrated

I ran a leak test and found a small leak. I fixed that leak and re-tested. No obvious leaks but i can hear air moving from what seems inside the intake manifold. When i pressurize to 24psi it takes about 25 seconds to leak down to 16 but will go further if i leave it. Anyone know what i should expect?
Thanks for the help!

Are people suggesting that a turbo which is 'supposed' to be able to produce 22psi at the inlet manifold, up to say 6,000rpm or 6,500 rpm, would have ANY issue producing that boost at lower RPM (e.g. 3,000rpm? I'm confused)
The amount of actual air flowing through the turbo at say '22psi' inlet manifold pressure at 6,500 rpm compared to 22psi at 3,000rpm is massive.
IE -if it could ever produce 22psi at the top end, it should find it easy to produce it at the bottom end unless I am missing something?
IMO Bwoznik, a pressurised inlet will slowly go down. A car naturally has leakage in the combustion chamber either via the piston rings or the inlet or exhaust valves. So even if the boost pipes are leak free, air will escape past the throttle body disc and then down the bores/valves (at what rate, I don't know on a mini yet)
I'm planning on fitting something like a modified JCW turbo to my car on the standard 2007 MCS exhaust manifold and will share the results. If we are not happy with the results we will look at exhaust manifolds and then share those results too. We don't expect big changes, other than potentially moving the power further up the rev band.
I'm interested to see how you are getting on so please continue to share info. Good Luck.
