Check this out exhaust manifold.

I am wondering about this. Took someone long enough. This might be a good idea for the power junkies out there. I wish it wasn't cast though. I wish it was pipe but, none the less this is a step in the right direction.

Cast manifolds are more durrable than stainless tube. Yes they will still crack but not as easily. This pice might make some R56 owners verry happy.

Ya I am tempted to get this manifold so bad and $350 is not too bad but with no turbo work I don't know if I would really see anything out of it.

Hmmmmmm...I kinda like it, and the price is cheap

Not sure its worth the hassle of R&Ring my turbo to get it off though, been there done that.

This manifold looks exactly same as the one included in the 2011 JCW Tuning kit.

It looks pretty similar if not exactly the same. But compared to the S manifold it is still a lot better. Throw some turbo work in there and you have a lot nicer set up MINI then the average modded S.

Not sure that seems to be the $1,000 question right now.

A ceramic coating option would be cool

Jet Hot coating on this manifold would be nice and probably help with underhood temps as well.

It would be nice to see how it compares to the previous tuning kit manifold.

The outer casting shape is definitely different, can't really tell from pic though on the port sizing.

^^^^It is a little bit bigger or it looks that way. I am just wondering if I should get it or not. What do you think?

AFAIK...The JCW manifold looks the same as the S, but the thickness is different.

This one looks completely different...theres not a lot of room to work with in there, it looks really good for the amount of space they had to work with.

I wonder why Way has never posted anything about it......

I am not sure either. This is tempting I just don't know if it would be a good buy or not.

I'm also wondering if the stock heat shield would have any trouble fitting ?

Compared to the S manifold the exit ports are noticeably different, but despite the casting shape it's hard to see a major difference in size.

Probably can't argue a performance gain with this over the MCS manifold, over the other tuning kit manifold though it may or may not be noticeable.

I'd try it out, but like you I am not eager to pull the manifold off.

You don't think there would be any kind of gain. I am not expecting a huge gain but as far as turbo spool and some gain I would hope there would be some. Andof course I love to torture myself I wouldn't mind taking off the manifold as I don't see how hard it can be.

Yeah what I wrote looks kinda weird after reading it again. I meant it would be hard to argue that it would not have a noticeable gain. The ports are visably larger, so I would expect a better spool at least. It's the difference from the 2 tuning kit manifolds I wondered how much it would make a difference.

Go get used to doing R53's and then put a r56 in service mode. Neither is hard, the R53 just spoils you .

I am thinking of biting the bullet and getting this. You guys with the r53.......Turbo>s/c. I don't like the r53 motor because it is Chrysler and I refuse to own anything Chrysler. Just saying. Anyway what kind of gains do you think this will put out. I am thinking around 1-5 more hp and probably the same for tq but, that is might be a little much for this. But hey the quicker turbo spool is an added plus regardless of power gain.

I wouldn't have had much an issue if the W11 had found it's way into the R56. That engine loves the turbo and I agree Turbo > SC.

I've never tested a manifold by it's self so i can offer no incite there, aside from the assumption it won't be higher then 4-5 HP TQ
