Mine has 9k miles and runs great!! No issues. No engine codes at all. Amazing power and it appears to be more powerful after 800ish miles, then again around 5k miles as if bedding wasn't fully complete. I am running the stock pulley on it without any belt slippage what so ever. Its quieter at idle with hood open, very loud on a mid rpm spool and serious head-turner at 5k +rpm. I don't take it past 6k tho. Never need to. ;-)

It sucks having supported this product uppon its release, and now looking at the list of people... So many problems, not enough survivors. :(
I hope people are still researching and paying attention, it could save a good chunk of change that dosent belong in Sprintex's pocket.

I still like mine too, it'll be a few months, since my motor finnally faded, until everything's back running but I've got 33k on one. I've been using the 60mm pulley for 14k making upwards of 19.5+ boost with it so any alternative would have to make at least that much, not to mention the whole actual DIY kit thing, otherwise I would do a turbo conversion. I'm so much happier with it than my M45, and yes the "on power" sound is quite exhilerating.

So yours is very recent. My MINI is my daily so it see lots of roads... And we enjoy them together. Did you do the installation yourself ? Any snags during it or was it just as easy as stated that it should be. Mine was mostly flawless with the exception of a misaligned pulley.

I like the idea of the TVS being an option, and it has the potential to be "next level" same as a turbo conversion, and in order to see it's full potential you're talking about an internals upgrade and most likely a standalone, which is fine for some & not for others, so we'll have to see what it's like to change things from the "kit" to achieve this, and since I love a S/C I see it as a far better option than the Rotrex, so if they can actually come up with a viable "kit" without having to rely in the purchaser to have to add custom elements, it may work out as being an acceptable replacement and maybe it could actually make a decent alternative to doing a turbo conversion.
I feel that the Sprintex makes for a decent "right on the edge" option for not "having to" get into doing an internals or ECU change, with the 60mm pulley you can get right on the limits of what has been understood to be max boost for stock insides and can still tune the factory ECU for it.
Most likely, as usual though, cost and ease of instalation are going to be it's biggest factors, hell IMO that's what made the Sprintex so attractive in the first place, there was nowhere else you could get anything you could just "do yourself", right out of a box. Granted going to the next level & having to go through extra "custom" steps isn't a big deal for some of us, but it just might be a deal breaker for a lot of people, so we'll just have to wait & see what they come up with as an end result.

Installation shouldn't be any more difficult than a sprintex. You can get nice bump in power without swapping the internals, or you can go all out with a stand alone ecu like **** said, but beauty of the TVS is its relatively cool--actually very cool--heat bothers me more than anything. It'll probably be a bit more, but for hardcore driving/ track work, it looks like the answer we've all been waiting for. My only point was that there is an alternative to the sprintex and rotrex; these are not cheap mods, and it may be worth waiting for TVS before plunging down the mod path of no return.

Well said.
The thing just needs to get done, and all the actual testing (Not "Its good, we will leave the testing to the purchaser.") actual track / road/ worst opperating conditions TESTING needs to get completed, before anybody needs to worry about the $$$ figure. Probably will be a bit more pricy than the Sprintex, but I will bet my first born ( no really... I dont want one anyhow) that the performance per dollar aspect will be well worth it. :D
