You would be better off with a dyno tune.

But I dont want to fuel the tuner fire in here.

To each their own tuning, obviously my feelings are my opinion based on my experiences.

Standard MCs exhaust diameter

Just wanted to add some knowledge to this thread. The stock exhaust from a MCs is as follows:

DP to the front of the flexim: 63,5mm or 2,5"

After the flexim till in front of the resonator: 60,0mm or 2,36"

After the resonator till in front of the back box: 55,0mm or 2,17"

That is the reason why a 63,5mm/2,5" system from turbo back gives such good gains. And of course removing the catalyst gives you a free flowing system with high potential.

So far just about everything is theory, since no one that I know of has done a back to back test of a 2.5" system on a 3" system. But I'd bet my sandwich (that's a pretty big deal because that's pretty much my whole lunch) that the car with the 3" system will make more power.
A 1" diameter garden hose hooked up to a 1/2" spout with a life saver wedged in the hose flows at 1gal/min, the same garden hose with the life saver removed flows at 2 gal/min.

This does not prove that a 3/4" diameter garden hose, hooked up to the same 1/2" spout does not flow at the same rates.

Apples to oranges. All it showed was the cat is VERY restrictive (which I think we all agree on)
