And a little question. All the mufflers shop here would only accept to remove my resonator (they won't touch the 2nd cat). I have a 2008 mcs, I want a little more sound and if possible some pop and burble.

Is the resonator delete worth it. Right now I don't have the few hundred bucks to by an exhaust kit

thanks

Hey Big Al, I can see that reading comprehension isn't your strong suit.

Go back and reread my post.

I said my lungs would prefer it, but I never said don't do it.

Only that posting it on the interweb forums is a REALLY stupid thing to do...

Morons.

I bet none of you were alive in the 70's and ever visited LA... No pollution controls and you could cut the air with a knife.

I'm just saying you freaking twits think that the extra 5 Hp you may get from removing the cats, will turn a Mini into something it never will be... And you are so self centered that you don't care about anybody but you...

If I ever meet someone that's removed the cats, I'll turn them in myself..

So bite me...

This man clearly has some major problems in his life that he needs to deal with on his own so I will choose to ignore going forward.

Anyway, Thanks for all the support guys. I promise to get a video up when I can. Crazy time at work right now with end of year push and what not.

Start with the resonator delete and see if you like it. It's a cheap mod and should give you the pop and burble you are looking for.

No I don't boycott F1. But even they are working on more environmentally friendly fuels and engines. Hell it used to be you had to wear a respirator to be anywhere near an F1 car... The fuels were exotic and toxic... Now at least they are running pump gas... Nascar is moving to ethanol blends, Indycar is ethanol. Lots of sanctioning bodies require cats on some classes of cars. But they are RACE cars that really don't accumulate a lot of miles.

My problem is with people that remove the emission controls and drive thier cars on the street, and think they are somehow exempt from the rules that everybody else is supposed to follow. They think that they must have that extra 3-5 Hp, and screw anybody that thinks they aren't entitled to do what they want. They really do think they are more important and special... They aren't...

They just forget, it's a MINI. It's never going to be a big block.

There is no reason, other than being cheap, to not have some form of cat con on a road car. Done correctly it doesn't lose hp, it just costs more.

Then why do F1 cars run no cats?

I think you're fighting an uphill battle on this one RSP. There are better ways of spending your time. I'm sure everyone on NAM (and possibly people not on NAM) know that you are against running catless. I don't think you need to keep reiterating this point over and over. Just put it in your sig or something

R.I.P Richardsperry's mini.. Death by clogging exhaust with dryer clothes in effort to make the fumes smell good and also be less harmful. so richards lungs would prefer it.
