DDM Street Intake too loud

I might be alone on this, but I think it's too loud. Maybe I can find someone to trade for something else...like JCW one or something. Had it on for about 300 miles and just not my thing. Love the turbo spool sound, but the rest is too much. Am I crazy?

Yeah...Must be because I have stock exhaust. The combo of both probably sounds great. Maybe I'll try one again when I go aftermarket exhaust.

I like the turbo sounds...like the spool up and blow off valve, just not everything else.

If you think it is too "loud" you don't want an intake because almost all of them are loud.

Yeah...I don't think it would be too loud if my exhaust was louder. When it was on, it sounded like an exhaust leak while at 50% throttle. Once I go that route, I'll try another one.

I'm currently running a stock exhaust and find the intake very quiet. Unless I push the car past 4K RPM is seems quiet. Initially it was very loud since it was rubbing on my JCW bar. Now its quiet at low RPMs.

Maybe that's it...I'm a speed racer! I do like getting the revs up...loved it up there, just didn't around 2K-ish.

Just go with the JCW Stage 1 intake...best bang for the buck. It's not loud and it performs.

I can see why you think it’s too loud - it is! It’s definitely not for everyone - the howl at 2500 is pretty rowdy. Since I don’t have an exhaust (yet) I’m liking mine and the added throttle response is pretty noticeable since I’m un-turboed. Gotta get what you can get!

He he he! Yeah...every little bit helps! At about 2500 for me it sounds like an old cop car with an exhaust leak:-)

Is the cover removable? I have a AFE intake, and the sound is much much less with the cover on it. It might perform a little better, ironicly, since the cover would keep hot engine air out... I drive with it off though, can't give up the sound!
