Drivetrain AEM Cold Air Intake on a N18
#51
I bought the AEM strut bar from ultrarev. Cheapest price that I could find. I like the AEM intake on my N14. But had to relocate my BSH OCC since it was rubbing on intake tube and on the strut bar. I re-installed the factory grille for the scoop. That cut down a lot of the crap getting into the intake box. Also I picked up a pre filter cover the filter.

I love the way it sounds, but I'd have to agree with the guy in the forum that talks about putting a t-shirt in the intake. It feels like I'm actually losing torque by opening up the intake. I really feel it on the low end especially.
I think I'm going to experiment with blocking off different intake sources to see if there is any real difference in feel. Every other car I've put a CAI on felt like it had more kick. Something here is off.
