Hey all,

I'm new to the Mini, having traded in my WRX for one. So, first things first.

What is the best first mod to do on the little beast? I've got an S model.
What is the next best mod after that?
If you have $500 to blow on goodies, what the best bang for the buck?

Sorry to be so full of questions, but I've already noticed that the Mini and the WRX are wayyyy different.

Thanks!

T.

FF2-EMTB,

Aloha and welcome to NAM.

First mod? $500 or less? Most bang per buck? All the same answer.

19% reduction pulley. $400+ installed. See Helix13 in Philly or Webbmotorsports in Colorado. Both are NAM sponsors.

Other good mods?
Rear swaybar set to medium or the center hole
Cold air intake

Welcome to NAM,

1) 15% reduction pulley on supercharger
2) ECU remap, I like my webb/powerchip but that's an opinion.
3) Rear swaybar, I don't have one but its high on my todo list.
4) Intake/Exhaust, I have the Alta and it is sweet. Still running stock exhaust.

Remember, the guy has $500 for goodies, not $2000!!!

Go with the 19% pulley. 20-22lbs of torque for $400 or less. Without a pulley, it would cost thousands of dollars to even approach the torque from the 19% pulley.

Don't you guys remember how much wheelspin your car had before the rear bar? I can't imagine how bad it would be with a 19% and no rear bar.

OK FF2, do the 19 but steal or save a couple of hundred more and get the rear bar too. You will be happy you did.

OK now I KNOW I'm new, but what is the 15-19 deal?
