Sprint Booster is quick way to throw away $300. All it does is modifying the throttle signal with a couple of resistors. There would be zero power difference. You could get similar results by pushing the gas pedal to WOT.

So if anyone knows anyone with an N18 interested in tuning in the socal area (close to 93065) drop me an email.
I'm really interested and I live close to the area (93036). Please let me know if you are still looking for more volunteer. Thx

Yah, I wasn't going to get a sprint, just wondering if the tune can at all affect throttle mapping. If so, bonus, if not, oh well

I just put a Forge BOV kit on my GP and noticed something interesting going on from time to time...

The engine burbles occasionally during the random quick rev of the engine during rev up(not wide open, just a quick tap of the throttle at a light). Sounds like an anti-lag setup, but it bugs me a bit. Also the engine likes to occasionally rev itself to about 3k and sit there for a moment, without any throttle imput from me at all... Only other mods are an NM Intake kit and lower engine mount insert kit.

Any thoughts?

Oh sorry, i forgot i was in the "I'm a total jerk thread". My mistake.

Hang on, that was a question about tuning! And a tuning thread about an engine I have in my car, and had mentioned tuning with specifics about how i did it? No way! I was right after all. Huh!

Now, anyone with an intelligent answer the possible issue here?

Thanks! Was that so hard to do the first time? You didn't have to act like a tool to accomplish that, now did you? AND it wasn't the same at all, had you actually read the first post. Good work and good bye

My GP is stock as we speak, and i'm having the same issue. you tap the gas once and it will hit 3000 rpm for few seconds like hitting the 2-step on a rally car!!! I'm guessing the stock tune is not clean. Time to install a wide band and see what the hell is happening because i feel the car leans out when that happens. It doesn't sound healthy.

Our N54 JB4 system includes a 2STEP and No Lift Shifting. Maybe some day we can adapt that to the N18.

I'd love to see quicker blips somehow. Even in sport mode I feel like it doesn't zing up the revs quick enough when I try to downshift quickly.

Must. Have. Tuner.
Do you need cold weather testing, or will this be officially on the market before Nov/Dec?

I thought about this last night, if the testing is done in Cali where the weather is hot/warm, me having the JB on my car in new england will probably render a bit more fun in this cold weather. we have our hot spells during the summer but most of the year the temps are below 60, lol. tuning is always more fun in the cold! let the fmic stay cool.

it's hotter and colder where you are, depending on the season. i'm in somewhat costal socal, and i rarely see temps above 75°. inland and in the valleys, yeah, 100°+ is pretty normal in the dead of summer.
