I will admit I haven't read through the entire thread but I have searched it and tried to read the relevant sections. Do I understand correctly that the current hypothesis is the basic JB+ will give about half the normal gains on a factory JCW setup, but that the Stage I and Stage II might be more effective for a JCW N18 car?
Even at half the gain, it would still be worth doing. Terry, have you guys had a chance to look into the JCW scenario any further?
the dyno on terry's shop car showed ~20whp/30 lb-ft wtq of gains over stock (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-post1687.html). the butt dyno of the beta testers have also recorded decent gains. that being said, i'm not sure what the exact numbers are on an n18 jcw.
So how much does a tune by PAW cost, and how much can we guess the JB+ will cost? Looks like they yield about same results. 20hp/30ft-lbs

It's not really a fair comparison. I'm pretty sure that it's already been stated that the JB+ will not have the same gains on JCW and GPII cars when compared to the S. That kind of gain on the JCW and GPII won't be available from Berger until the higher stages comes out.

i agree. these are two different tunes on two (somewhat) different platforms. it's arguably harder to get 20whp/30wtq gains on a GP II than it is out of a MCS. and the style of the tuning is completely different as well.
i'm looking beyond the JB+ to see what terry has in store for stage 1 and 2.
I looked at COBB's website and did not see the access port on there for the Mini and i know Alta is not selling it anymore so what do we have for the N14 engine's?
N14 may happen in the future but no guarantees. Used accessports sell for around $600 - $650 in the marketplace. It's a good product, but a product without support is severely limited in its functionality imho.
