OK you guys clobbered my email box. I got more inquiries than we have slots so I just took the first 15. Assuming this batch goes smoothly we'll open it up to the general public. I'll update this thread when I have more info for everyone.

Cool was one of the lucky one to get it. Will update on how it goes once I receive it.

When you open it to the public, will you be then considering it a "public beta" or will you consider the product to be tested and somewhat proven at that point? I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but any general thoughts on when Stage 1+ tunes might be coming to market?

Terry, If you're looking for any more volunteers you can count me in. I commute over 80 miles/day so the miles would go on fast. 2013 Cooper S R56. Engine performance Mods: Alta 3" Catback; DDM Works RIS; FMIC. Just drop me a line if you would like my feedback.

Thanks,

Jim

if you look at the second picture on that page, you cannot screw up the install. it's as simple as taking the MAF connector off, plugging it into one side of the JB+, and then plugging the other connector of the JB+ into the MAF. presto - you're done in 30 secs.
you may want to let your car go to sleep first before you do the install. i think it's just a matter of locking your car doors for a few mins (pop your hood first). you can prob check the install guide for the n54 or n55 - should be similar, if not the same.

That's definitely the deal.

Open the bonnet (hood) then lock doors and wait at least 5 minutes. Then snap the JB+ inline on the MAF sensor.

Then plug in CAN tool. I routed the line behind the plastic cover down to the floor
and under the mat towards the seat and placed it under the seat.

I believe the CAN tool was configured and ready to go. I think it’s set to show
boost from 10 to 26psi on the speedo. So 5 (MPH) would be 15psi.

After installing the JB+ it takes some driving for it to fully adapt, etc.
About 50 to 75 miles before you notice the full difference.

What setting is your CAN tool on? I haven't installed it yet, when I get home I will. I won't be swapping my spark plugs till Tuesday so it'll be on OEM spark plugs for about 50 miles till then lol.

Mine came today, too.
Car: 2011 CMs All 4 6spd. NM intake, stock otherwise - Canadian market car.

Installed box (not the CAN yet), and headed home. After a distance (70km or so) varying throttle input, load, rpms, etc, I started to get into it a bit. All good so far.

Got mine in the mail today and just went for a quick ride(~10 miles). The car seems stronger and pulls harder, will see over the weekend if driving more(>50 miles) makes it even better

I installed both JB+ and the CAN tool. CAN tool is real fun and I recommend any one buying JB+ to get the CAN tool as well. The dancing speedo just makes you wanna floor the pedal even harder.

I followed this thread for the CAN tool setup
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20522

Terry mentioned in the thread that for Mini the boot is 0-16psi for speedo setup and 10-20psi for fuel setup.

I was hitting all the way to 16 on the speedo, will see if it goes even higher on the fuel guage. I just find it a little hard to read the fuel guage compared to speedo.

Is it recommended to swap the spark plugs? I am currently running stock, what are the recommended spark plugs to buy?

More testing this eve in the cool, damp air. (~70 F, 80% humidity)
I'm hitting higher psi than most, not sure why? I am at about 1700' elev.
Stock, I was hitting 15+ PSI, now I'm (of course) hitting a fair bit higher

Interested to see what kind of boost levels you are seeing. Before/after.

I have an auto and I know the boost was backed down to prevent the surging of the auto tranny. The highest I have seen was 16.85.
