Anyone else swap out their spark plugs for NGKs? I'm finally doing it tomorrow since they just came in from Detroit Tuned. Let me know I'm curious if the idle at startup stops. Thanks!

Doubt it would make much of a difference but it can't hurt, right?

a good portion of BMW's are speed density and not MAF, that's why

interesting...so what you are saying is that somehow MINI would decide to rely on MAF for american N18 and for some strange reason on SD for euro N18

IMHO that just seems silly

Hey Terry,

Thanks for adding me to the JB+ Beta mix for my 2013 Clubman S. Will let you know how it goes.

2) As of right now we have more than enough BETA testers. Please do not email me asking to join the group. For now I am going to switch any inquires on the N18 to a form response. Don't worry. When we're ready for more testers I won't forget to post here.

We don't want to "test" it, we want to BUY it LOL! We are just a little bit anxious if you couldn't tell! We should all be very pleased with the fact that you do not want to send out your product without testing it properly. Thanks for taking the extra step to do this so when I put it on my wife's car, I don't have to hear her chew me out because something went wrong on her drive to work because when we get it, it will perform perfectly!

Yeah! So I got my juice box today and installed it. dumb paypal delayed my happiness for like a week...

I'm still breaking it in, but I definitely can feel the increase on the butt-dyno. especially when on the interstate already in 6th gear. it's sweet... i can feel it in all the other gears getting up to speed too, for sure.

but i was wondering - anyone beta testing have any numbers on 0-60 times or like 30-50? i know i'm quicker, but now i'm curious to what extent...

6th gear on the freeway is where it surprised me the most too. Boost just keeps climbing as you are on the throttle, stays high, and just pulls like a freight train. It's scary to watch the speedo climb, but oh so fun

There is no set timeframe for it. We have around 25 of them out in use now. I'll let this group continue on for a few weeks so we can collect their impressions & verify no software changes are needed before opening BETA up to the general public.

Thank you for the follow up Terry
Looking forward to the date that you think it's ready for the general public. Keep up the good work.

Not really, just tired of people trying to rush Terry and having someone everyday ask when it's going to come out. When there is an eta, Terry will announce it.

I am out of that one since it has been over 100 for almost the whole month of August here in TX. Aftermarket intercooler works great keeping the IAT temps within 5 degrees of ATs.

From what I gather the torque limit on the auto box is ~235 lb ft. Not sure what it can run at on a daily basis and still last a decent number of miles (80k?) with regular fluid changes (15k?).

If the JB+ gives you 30 more torques how many are left before the tranny needs to be strengthened?

Mine is auto. I hope I can still use the jb+ without messing up the transmission.
