I have my money saved and i'm just waiting. There is a place near me that does $80 for an hour of dyno time. going to wait till a cool fall evening and get some numbers when I get the JB+
I love that this thread has come to a screeching halt now that the JB+ has become available.
I think that's a bit silly...
Nobody has come out with a different tune, so we've essentially beaten the horse to death. Everyone knows by now which tuner offers what, and where to go for what they're looking for.
The JB+ is a great piggyback, but it's still a piggyback. That's a different category than a tune, while certainly still a valid product.
I'm glad there is a different thread to differentiate the two, as there are many things that the JB+ cannot do which a tune can. There is also a large price difference, and there are certainly pros and cons to both.
Certainly - there is a correlation between the creation of the separate thread, though.
As for the stagnation of this thread regarding tunes, I'm not sure any of us can add any more productive input. Nobody new is on the scene, and I should hope by now that we all know the players and offerings.
I am glad, however, that they made a separation in threads regarding piggyback vs. ECU mod.
There are certainly pros and cons for both as mentioned.
I have to say since I had both a bench tune on my N18 and now have the JB, the JB feels much stronger and plays with the car better. Always felt like the car was fighting the tune.
I'd suppose it all depends on who does the tuning. At times I felt that way with my old accessport but I don't expect much more from about as canned a tune as you can get. My new tune? Blows it off the road! Smooth, strong, etc. Feels like factory but oh so much better.

It always depends on the tuner. Some are good and some just are a waste of money.
Anybody know what Group4Autosport is doing for tuning? Heard they had a GP at the dragon with a DP, inter cooler and a tune with over 300whp, anybody know any particulars?
What do you guys think about running a mix of 93 octane with a few gallons of 100 octane or maybe a few gallons of E85 with the mods that I have listed? I'm gonna go to the drag strip this weekend and I'm wondering if I could see any gains, even small, from it?

I don't know about over 300whp but gains are similar to the one from RennTech since Lenny works with Will Jensen now at Group4.
