Just insalled mine today. Fit was really good, I took the advice and purchased u clamps, the worked good. Tips fill up the hole nicely. I painted the muffler canister and tips with high temp ceramic black paint... I now have de chromed the entire car. Having the muffler canister painted black is a nice touch. The sound is not loud at all, but is not too quiet either. On deceleration it drones but I like that. The tone is way deeper than stock. Mid range hp and tq has increased for sure, not sure if is as much as they claim but i can tell a difference...I am running a cai and ap stage 1. As long as you dont want a really really loud system I cant see how this deal can be beat...oh and dont mind painting the tips.

I used plasti-dip on the tips and DEI coating on the pipes and muffler.

Hi I have a stock r56 with only catback exhaust cnt remove the resonator. I feel lost power at low speeds but the sound is good without the resonator. you think that with a better tune the ecu at low speeds?

I did not feel any lost power. I felt a little better mid range and upper. Then a big gain with the catless dp and switch to sage 2 tune.

So is anyone here running a CNT downpipe? It looks like they're offering a catted version ($299-349) and a catless ($249) version. The catless version has a resonator in it. Has anyone used a catless/resonated downpipe before? $249 is pretty tempting.

So I'm assuming this means no one has a CNT downpipe...

I'm really tempted, I unfortunately don't have the guts to be the guinea pig.

I've never seen anyone report running one on here.

So I pulled the trigger and purchased the CNT catless/resonated DP. I read on a bunch of forums for other cars (Mazda, Subaru) and everyone seems to think CNT/ERZ quality is top notch. I'll keep you guys posted on the status in the next few weeks. I'll probably end up ordering the Big Daddy's Garage mini-cat O2-sensor CEL fix. Will report back. Over and out.

Update:
So I had it installed today. I'm actually on vacation while my car is at the shop. A couple things to note though. Eric at Helix said that it wasn't a great fit and it required him "getting medieval" on it to get it in there. Also, he said it appears as though the diameter is smaller than stock. I'll have to get more info later. That's weird because it definitely seemed the full 2.5" when I was wrapping it (but didn't measure). I also got the Big Daddies Garage Mini-Cat to hopefully prevent or at least delay the CEL. Will have more updates by this weekend.

The dia is 2.5, never had a problem with fit on mine infact it was the best fitting aftermarket exhaust I have installed period. My only grip is the high pitch whistle at high rpm.

Sorry, to clarify, I had the CNT (ERZ) downpipe installed. Catless and resonated. I have the stock exhaust otherwise.

I'm glad all these comments are coming now as opposed to weeks ago when I posted haha. Cross your fingers. I got it for like $230 shipped so won't be the biggest loss ever.

Just an FYI, I posted a full review of the CNT catless downpipe in a new thread.
