Looking forward to it. Rereading the PR this thing sounds a lot like the AP. lets hope it has the ability to do more than flash maps like the AP as well and I'd really like to see more openness with map availability and tuner access. That really hurt the AP in my opinion. Simply releasing tuneraccess race for the MINI could have ensured more sales and ease of use long after support ends.
I'm curious to find out who this unnamed aftermarket manufacturer is.

Yeah about that...
No way am I ever going to buy a tuning chip, that's just asking for trouble. I'm now going to inquire about Evolve's tune. Brentuning, NM, and RennTech are also in the conversation. But NM is my last resort. The two most intriguing tunes that have my attention is BrenTuning and Evolve.
As we all know RMW is difficult to get a hold of but if he can come in August to Detroit Tuned, I will certainly give him my services.
Sucks that we all got sucked into thinking a OBDII was coming out since they used the expression, "best thing since the Accessport". Oh well.

I know that I am one of those 'awful' automatic MCS guys, but the AP had some issues with shifting that made the car feel undrivable. I wonder if any of their test vehicles are automatics?
It is nice to be getting options for the N18 guys, though.
Have fun,
Mike
edit: the shifting was smoothed out by adjusting the tune, I don't want people to think that the AP was junk with an auto. Just pointing out that the engine tune affects shifting on an auto.
