I re-did it tonight and double checked some things. The holes only line up one way just like scubbynacks said. Even though I ordered the Alta spring today, I had the bright idea to swap the spring from my old JCW valve. Also I put the stock JCW intake back on. Car feels like it's old self now, low end is back, lag is gone. This should bring back the MPG's. If that made that much difference I cant wait to try the alta spring.

I have not seen MPG like this since the car was new. I am flirting with 33 now. WHen I first got the car I could flirt with 34 for the first few months and then it was 33 for a long time, steadily dropping down to 30 after 5 years. This new BOV with an S spring gave me the worst mileage ever, switching to the original JCW spring and recent new plugs (I had the new plugs with the S spring so no excuses there) is working really good. The Alta spring made it in today. I will install tonight, drive it a few days and see what that does.

Alta Spring really makes a big difference. There is a lot more power right after you shift, almost gives the car a diesel feel. The motor feels more willing so you tend to drive a little harder, because of this I see a slight decrease in mileage on my normal route. But if you force yourself to calm down you can match the JCW spring mileage. It is amazing to me how much this simple little part changes the feel of the car. So after all the changes, I am using the Forge BOV adapter, a Forge cold side silicone inlet tube, a new BOV (that originally came with an S spring and made the car fell like an S), an Alta spring (all three springs look the same, feel the same stiffness in your hands), N14 motor, no CEL.
