I live at about 5900' and the effect is very noticeable to me. I'm planning on dialing down a notch as well since 91 is the best I can get here in CO.

I will wait until spring to try this. I am just getting done with the break in period. I am still getting used to the jump in power and performance from an r50 to a r58S. These JB+ looks safe, but I will give it a few months to see if it causes others problems.

Finally got around to installing the JB+ and new plugs after the DP...Holy crap what a difference. Terry and gang, you guys are my hero's. This is how the car should have been from the factory. Once break in, data logging and tweaking is done I'll post before and after dyno runs.

Urkel has been transformed into David the giant killer lol.

Now if Terry would only let me pay him for a JB4....

Plugs had 50K on them so I installed Denso IXUH22 plugs and closed the gap to .027. I like the u channel groove and the .04 iridium tip as opposed to the NGK .06 tip. Requires less voltage to initiate the spark and the grooved electrode should help protect the spark kernel from blow out under high boost. I already had the 16mm socket from my first gen mini but had to buy the 14mm 12 point just to remove the NGK's lol.

Right now I'm running at the 2 o'clock position with no pulled timing. Going to give it a little while more to adapt then edge it up again.

Haven't needed to yet. There's a Shell about 4 blocks away that sells it. So it's handy when I get to that point.

About to pull the trigger on this. I still wondering how to monitor boost (i mean, i can do that with the CT or Torque, but then what?), and what do in order to compensate for 8000ft, if any...

No need to compensate. Most monitoring apps DC, Torque etc take into consideration barometric pressure and report calculated boost pressure.

How do you know when timing has been pulled? And what do you look for when monitoring afr?
Sorry for the noob questions...

I was talking about what to do with the JB controls. Lets say, ok boost is (any number) or timing or fueling, and then what to do with the JB+...

That was what I was wondering,

Probably got some more knowledgeable people here that can answer better than I but here goes. AFR is normally going to run 14 and change but lean out at high rpm and boost down to around 11.7-12.0 or so. If I saw consistent numbers <11.5 I'd be concerned. Timing will under varying load condition and run from about zero to +6 degrees under boost dropping off sharply when shifting. If you see a sudden reduction of 4 or more degrees when you shouldn't then it pulled timing.

Actually with AFR it should be 14.7 (stoichiometric) and for forced induction motors like turbos, the ratio will slightly drop (run richer to prevent knock) to about 12 under load and boost. This drop is a good thing.

When I've monitored AFR I've consistently experienced this.

Oops yep what he said on AFR's. Got my AFR confused with my O2 voltage readings mixed where lower is leaner. Thats what i get for working on one thing while answering another. Thanks for the correction.
