I've tracked MPG from since the car was new and have not seen a change. I average 27 and it is 100% city driving.

Ok. I used to average around 32ish. Maybe I just drive it harder now. Either way I'm not complaining

When I first got the JB+ and would accelerate to 5-6k rpm regularly, mpg dropped to about 28-29. Now that I've had for a couple months, I've laid off the hard accelerations and am getting 30-31mpg.

I powershift my GP and hit 21psi and I have no idea what my MPG's are. All I know it's is a blast to drive and it saves me $700 a month from my CTSV Coupe

Averaging 28mpg compared to 32 I used to get lol.

Speaking if mpg...probably didn't help this morning when I floored it against a 335xi. Absolutely left him in dust, I was a bit shocked to be honest. My grandfather has that car and it isn't some scrub either.

I think it'd be great if you could make that work, especially in light of the OBD tuning that is supposedly coming from Manic.
Nothing is planned currently. But R&D continues and who knows what the future holds! Flash tuning is available for the N18 now. The issue is loading/removing it. An at home flash utility for the car would be welcome news especially for those planning larger turbos in the future. But for the OEM turbo the flash tunes seem to be limited to MT cars and are producing similar gains to the JB+. We'll have to see how it all pans out.

Ok guys got the intercooler installed and JB+ at 100% and runnin about 98 octane with CAI and 2nd cat delete. Car pulls awesome! Just curious what you guys think is the best downpipe for the JCW? And will a catless downpipe really add a ton more power over the JCW downpipe? Or is it maybe only about 10 more whp?

Your brave. I've got an intercooler, akrapovic downpipe, intake, exhaust, cooler plugs with a 30% mix of e85 and I have never been anywhere near 100%.

If it makes you feel better I actually backed mine off. Running 100% on an S isn't worth the risk.

If you do some digging of threads back in 08-09, guys were cracking pistons pursuing the 20-21 psi mark. These N18's aren't drastically different from N14's. 18psi is perfect, it leaves some room for over-boost, and hotter climate I feel.

Just installed the jb+ on my mini tuned at 40% .
Jeff at burgerxxxx told me to use the jb+ at 40% because my cooper s has the jcw tuning kit :(
Honestly I'm very much tempted to go higher on percentage considering that my car has the akrapocic downpipe , alta intercooler , forge recirc. Valve , muffler delete hose , k&n filter ....
The question is how high in percentage can I go with my jb?
Ps: I run my car on 98octane
Temp in Beirut is around 60 F in winter and goes up to 90F in summer

Your fuel over there is the big unknown. I've seen some logs showing its more like 91 octane. In any event use the CAN Tool to monitor timing and from that you can determine the overall aggressiveness.

Well im running 100% on a JCW and it has lower compression that the S and also has forged pistons im pretty sure from reading online a bit. I have been monitoring the timing and it looks great. Does not seem to be any knock. Mariokart is running 100% also on his GP and the compression is higher than my JCW. But my main question was how much more HP would a catless downpipe really bring? If its only around 10whp just not sure if its worth it for me.

Do you have aftermarket pistons? Because the JCW/GP are not forged.
The downpipe is big improvement, almost as much as a JB+ at 50%, the sound is 25% louder so I added a vibrant resonator where the second cat was.
Btw, I'm also complete with my own Mini downpipe. I'm making 50 of them.

So i guess it dose not really say if they are forged it just says :
  • Upgraded/Optimized Turbo Pistons and four piston brakes (adapted from the MINI Challenge race car)
