For the most comprehensive solution I would go the software ScanXL from Palmer Performance (running on a Laptop - it does work on a MacBook if you bootcamp to Windows.) . You will need a OBD2 wifi or USB dongle, such as ODBLink from Scantool. There are others that are cheaper. This might be over kill for what you want.

You can just start with DashCommand (also from Palmer Performance) which was on sale for $10 on the App Store. You still need a ODB2 device though, there are many wifi "ELM327" compliant devices out there for $30 or under.

A few guys here are on meth with a JB+. The ECU will notice the better octane and advance the timing. Also the cooler intake temps will get you moving faster too. Most run about 80/20. Make sure the 20% water is distilled
Good luck, you and your car will love it

I had bumped it initially running a .6 jet with the gain setting at 12 and I had detonation so I backed the JB back to 12 until I got the right meth settings. I was running the JB @ 2 with a 20% mix if E85 with no troubles. I just bumped to the .7 jet and bumped the gain to slightly passed 12 so I might trying bumping the JB.

I have been reading that the R56/R60 likes a little bit of water mixed with th met compared to 100% meth. Can anyone confirm this?

That's what I have heard, like 10%-20% water. I have run 80/20 mix and didn't see any difference compared to 100%. I would continue to run a mix but it's much easier to not mix.

If you turn up the JB+ then that may change what mix you should run.

so JB+ is installed and i turned dial to 40% as per there instructions for JCW/GP i have the dash command app with OBD elm327 installed to monitor and filled up the tank with 94 chevron fuel. I have only driven maybe about 30 miles today but didn't really notice much difference yet. GP is already fun and fast but i guess i expected a little more. From what i have been reading online our chevron 94 here in Canada is maybe as good as the 91/92 octane in the US. Question is will i see more of an improvement as i put more miles on the car.... should i move it up to 50% or should i maybe look at adding a octane booster to fuel (not sure if they even work) (we don't have e85 in Canada) . Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated . Cheers

Give it at least 100 miles for the ECU to adapt.

I just installed the JB+, and the change was instantaneous.
Drive it like you stole it, the ECU will adapt within 5 miles.

I spin my wheels from a 20mph roll, with an Auto Trans!!

Still curious about the Jb+ dial even after reading every post on here !
I even emailed burger and didn't get a definite answer as they just said to read through the website.

How do you know when you can turn the dial up past the 50% mark ??
And even more puzzling is I see some of the guys with jcw cars actually turning there's down when I would have assumed they could be the first to turn there's up !?!??

I assume what mods you have would factor into what you do with the dial ?
I have a 2013 S , FMIC , aem cai , full alta 3" exhaust and downpipe , nm tubes , and 93 octane .

Thanks in advance for any help

with those mods...leave it at 50% (or how it comes out of the box)

the reason JCW guys are turning it down is because the JCW is more agressively tuned than the S.....so it can only handle so much more aditional tuning from the JB+....

the only time you should turn it up is if you add active cooling (like water/ meth injection)....or if you run a higher octane gas. and the process for turning it up is to do it slowly and incrementally, all while monitoring your engines data. theres no guide for turning it up....so its really sort of a test and tune process until you find what works for your car.

Ok , what if I add a predetermined amount of e85 to my 93 octane fuel as it is readily available in my area ? I believe from what I've read people do an approx 25% e85 per tank ??

If you decide to use e85, use 20% only. That's like 2.6ish gallons if I'm not mistaken. But I'd go the route of a meth kit(IMO).

Make sure that it is unleaded (you'll ruin your cat and o2 sensors if not). I'd imagine that VP101 would be a good choice. I'm not sure how far you can turn it up though.
