I'm going to start reading the entire thread and get more info on this, this is very intriguing, and I only live about 100 miles south of SF. Will be worth the trip if it can turn my JCW into beast mode. lol

Those numbers were with 100 octane fuel . On another thread a gp (jcw) put down
226whp 232 wtq on Stage 2 with 91 octane
245whp 263wtq on Stage 2+ with 100 octane

For those of you that are running the stage 2 tune. What kind of timing are you seeing? For instance during a forth gear pull?

I don't have stage 2 per say but can get you some logs over the next few days. In the midst of setting up my spray kit now. I will log with and without spray in manic map 'B' and 'C'.

As far as timing...

With my Manic stage 2 tune on 91 octane I see a maximum of 11 degrees by redline.

When I run the stage 2 tune on Map C for 100 octane the car makes 14 degrees by redline.

On my JB+ at 100% using 100 octane fuel the car would only hit about 9 degrees max by redline.

So the Manic tune is definately worth it.

Hope that helps.

That looks promising. I'm glad Cerenkov requested this info. As of right now timing is the only factor we have to base results on unless we have the cash to throw at Dynos...

The highest my MINI has ever seen is +8deg with the JB+. I've never went higher than 80%. But from your test run at 100% w/100 octane, it Seems that being our mods are similar, the only way to get to the next level of power, while allowing the DME to remain happy, is to Op for a Manic Tune😬

Also with the manic tune the AFR is soo much safer under boost and stays at a nice 12:1 afr through the boost curve. With the JB+ it would be crazy lean until the car hit 13psi. Then above that afr was pretty safe.

I'm on board with the Manic Motorsport tune. Their dyno numbers do not lie.
Lets all get a tune from them.

+1

Now if only I can get someone to purchase my Sprint Booster V2, I would be $200+ closer to a Manic Tune, LOL...

Posting this from the EuroTech thread for MANIC tuning in AZ. I wasn't aware of this and wanted to post it here in case others didn't know. A good bit of info:

In some cases they don't have that particular ecu unlocked and requires opening ecu for manual boot download which takes 2 hours. Then Nick can build your map. In other words it's not always as fast as you would think. We have limited time windows of communication due to time differences.

I should be getting my tune by the end of the week. For those that have received their tunes, any updates?

The only change I would ask for is. If the idle could be raised so it was close to the idle when the AC is on. When the AC is on my car idles great. When off and the car is hot it stumbles.

I will be interested to hear of your results. We have a similar setup (including auto) minus the turbo. My turbo makes a lot of heat, so would like to see it in stock turbo/meth form.

I guess they are seeing what the flash the ECU is running. Have you been updated recently?
