The new NGK's use a very basic one. I paid $3 at Lowes

That's where I bought one too, but it seems to big to fit down the hole, I'm afraid to get it stuck.

My regular craftsman socket fits perfectly. The wall of the socket is thin enough. I put a piece of masking tape on the inside of the socket to grab(hold) the socket when putting it in or taking it out. Just don't pull the spark plugs when the engine is warm or else the socket may get stuck until it cools down. Don't ask how I know this....

I had to go get a thin walled version, was annoying to figure out after I had the old plugs already out!

This may be due to the linear remap of the throttle pedal. The stock throttle map was non-linear to make it feel quicker than it really was.

I got my spark plug socket issue solved. EurotechAZ sent me a PM saying that a cheap 5/8" socket should work.

The keyword is "cheap".

The Kobalt from Lowe's and the Craftsman were too large in outer diameter, but the Stanley from Wal-Mart was just right!

Here's a 4th gear pull of Map A of Stage 2+. I don't have the DP installed yet. Definitely runs much richer than stock or with the JB+ (which is good). Nice cool temperatures this morning.

Nice, what's the max boost you seeing in MAP A?

You are going to love it even more on MAP B with a DP😁

I've seen it spike to 18.9 but steady-state WOT I've seen around 17.5 when it was warmer outside. For comparison on the pull that I posted the JB+ would have only gotten to maybe 12.

The spikes are typically seen right after shifting.

I have a question regarding actual boost levels v.s peak boost levels, in an earlier post (unable to locate) that the target boost levels for (Manic Tune Stage 1) both N14's/N18's was 18.2 psi, is this actual boost levels or peak boost levels?

Appreciated!
Systemlord.

Manic tunes are spec'd in bar not PSI.
On top of that it depends on which mode you are in and what kind of car and fuel type you are starting with.
This is just an example so the tune you/others have may be different.

N14 stage 1 with 91
Map A 1.2 bar
Map B 1.3 bar
Map C 1.4 bar

N18 stage 1 with 91
Map A 1.2 bar
Map B 1.3 bar
Map C 1.4 bar

N18 JCW with 93
Map A 1.3 bar
Map B 1.4 bar
Map C 1.45 bar

These are not peak boost spike levels. There is no programmed overboost settings on Manic tunes they goal is to hit that boost level and hold it until redline. If your turbo can keep up that is. Some of the MCS turbos will drop a little towards the end but JCW turbo will pull 22psi until redline. Hope that answers the question.

Got my ecu back from eurotech today with a manic stage 2 tune. So happy with it. Hitting 18.8 psi, and is just a beast now. If you're debating on getting a tune, stop debating and get it done. My countryman is crazy now on map a. Gonna have to put some 100 octane in it and let her loose on map b soon.

I'm glad your happy! Another Manic Tuned member. You should be able to run Map B on your normal octane 91/93. Map B is slightly more aggressive. 100 Octane/Meth is mainly for Map C which is very aggressive.

What are you using to monitor boost?

How long did everything take... from time of removal to getting it back? I know it can vary but trying to get a window of time. May just rent a car for when the car is down and everything. Thanks.
