Your Manic guy will have your old exacts tune saved, but now it's under a completely different ECU version. It's kinda like starting over again.

That really couldn't blow any harder! I've only taken my car to the dealer once under my old tune and I was so paranoid they were gonna flash my car I must've told the head tech 20 times to remember not to let anyone touch the ECU. I even taped a note to the steering wheel lol!

That was for the free oil change and tire rotation that just so happened to fall perfectly within my 5k oil change intervals. NO MORE! The next time I went to pull the wheels off the car it felt like it took 200 ft lbs of torque to remove the nuts. No doubt they gunned them on without a care! Me no trust!!

I encourage the mod'd guys to become friends with their Service adviser's. For me they know what I'm doing and I even, have drive my GP so they can experience my new mods. Notes and caution tape also help, because mistakes happen.

There was an update for the brake sensor that might have caused this.

Yep. New version came out because of the brake wear indicator. Took them 2 hours to "reprogram" the brakes. Mistake in my part that could have been avoided. My car is slow as heck now haha. Especially with a K04 turbo. So much lag. Lol. Manic is nice enough to retune for free if it happens. Only costs would be from your Manic dealer for their time. If you had an old tune it may be good for you. Over the months Nick has tampered with the idle speed, lowered water temp, deleted cold start, and raised redline to 6800 (at least on stage 3). Will be going to Indimanic so he can read my ECU ID and send it to nick. Hopefully Nick is awake in the UK to build a map at that time.

I was actually one of the first when he came to the states, so I was unaware that he has tweaked the tune so much since I got it.

However are you saying that this new flash is so new that there isn't a solution yet? I was still under the impression they can still yank out the ECU and flash it the old fashion way.
No Nick will be able to do it. Yeah it was fun in LA at EuroCode. I was the first mini to get tuned. He took like 8 hours to establish a base map. Tuned. Didn't like it. Retune. Flashing takes so long. That was stage 2. I went down to Paul at Indimanic and he flashed me for stage 3 which had all the new features. Pushing nick to add even more power to stage 3 since stage 3 is for a hybrid setup and I have a full K04. Man I was at 22.4psi and now I'm at 13psi. Sooo slow compared to before. I need my tune back!

Hey Mario. Your a manic tuner. Is every ECU ID different? You said you tuned one with a new software type I believe? Do you have a Stage 3 file? I will be making a journey to the Bay Area tomorrow so I can obtain my ECU ID and send it to Nick. He may be asleep as it might be 3am for him. And I will most likely be making 2 trips. Maybe you have one that you can send?

I could make a covers and even a switch to a specific wire, so the OBD2 won't communicate with the dealer mQuebed Manic Tuning Dealer
