the tune will block the code from illuminating but it will show as a "not-ready" on an emissions test. One not read normally will not fail you (depending on the state)

ah ok, stage 1 plus should be a nice improvement over the jb+ right? maybe i should wait on the dp. i guess since i take it to shop (modifie mini coopers), not a dealer for inspection i should be fine

that is incorrect the cat shows in a ready status I can post pictures of proof. Manic has tuned out the check engine light completely no worries for inspection.

I can vouch for the WMW DP it sounds killer and has a great build quality. If I could do it again though I would probably get one of mariokarts DPs.

It is a catless DP but when I was doing my research I couldn't find any catted DP that would have efficient airflow then I talked to eurotechsAZ and they are the ones who told me about manic tuning out the cel for cat I'm sure they can explain in more detail how it's done and why it can pass an OBD emissions test.

it looks like il be fine with a cattless wmw dp, i am in NC like
cerenkov and i read his post "They don't do an emissions sniffer test here in NC so it should pass emission with a tune" which is good to know. with a tune catless should provide more bump as well i would think.

so i guess il have the shop install the fmic and catless dp and send the ecu that same day for stage 2.

sucks that have to wait about a month, rarely home.

Here you go boys. I just ran the car through the Massachusetts obd emissions scanner and this is the checklist. Notice the only thing in not ready status is the O2 sensor.

I work for Mercedes and stage 2 will dust any c300 c350 you run. I'm hoping to keep up with a C63 with stage 3. My boss said when I can run with the c63 he will give the mini props lol.
