Installed the intercooler yesterday! Huge difference and I'm yet to notice heat soak as I did with the stock intercooler and the JB+. Now to save up for stage 2...

I live in south Florida, and, even after a cold front, we were pretty warm. Ambient was 81 (F).
In: 285 (after a few pulls)
Out: 112
Very consistent even with the JB+ keeping things lean.

Yup, I forgot to log temps before the turbo! Didn't have the time to do any testing with the stock intercooler, but I would expect there would be a big difference.

Systemlord, I notice you have a RSB? Was the difference in overall handling and rotation noticeable? I have a friend with an R56 JCW that's selling his car along with the parts, so he offered me $140 for a 22mm one.

I recommend a RSB that has at least 3 settings so you can adjust the level of stiffness, more stiffness equals more cornering ability. $140 is not that bad, I paid $219 for my H-Sport 25.5mm RSB from Way Motor Works. A 25.5mm hollow RSB has the the same strength and stiffness as a solid 27mm RSB.

I have a hotchkis 25.5 mm and the difference is night and day I also autocross but if you go into suspension and read up on it you'll see that it is a great upgrade

I paid 140 used for my bar I keep it on the stiffest setting it's so great

Thanks guys, I autocross occasionally but overall I am a "spirited" driver so to say.
Trying to decide on either this or a primary cat delete.

Do both! Do both! The sound I got from the cat delete is amazing and I can't wait to delete the other cat and res.

The sway bar makes the car rotate so nice.

Before I purchased one and people were complaining that it was to much for street driving as long as your not stupid ( hope I'm not hurting feelings I don't mean too ) you will have no issue it drives great on the track and road.

Some nice sticky tires help as well

+ 1

I went with all the power mods first, well besides my JCW suspension I had installed prior to pick up. But right now I have a Hotchkis bar sitting in my living room. I'm excited and can't wait to install it, so I can experience the thrills that so many have raved about.

Thanks for the the replies guys!
I'll go ahead and save up for both, most likely the RSB first as that is for sale.

Hey guys, to all the owners of manic tunes here.

I am getting a bit impatient saving up for an intake, fmic and exhaust first before I get a stage 1+

Any stage 1'ers here like to chime in on the difference upgrading from Stage 1 to Stage 1+?

Or any stock to Stage 1er's could chime in on the differences? Thanks!

I am running fully stock at the moment, and was planning to go straight to Stage 1+, but the waiting game is so hard for me, so Im deciding to go Stage 1 first and progressively tune higher.

Can the stage 1 be had without any supposting mods? I guess I was under the impression any tune pretty much needs the basics (FMIC, exhaust etc.)? If so, is it safe as far as heat goes turning up the boost with this stage 1 tune with out a FMIC? I have a JB+, dialed to around 75%. Is there much difference in gains if I were to just go stage 1 with no supporting mods compared to my JB dialed up a little? The website is a little confusing, just wanted some clarification.

Manic stage 1 is for factory standard Mini.

From Manic's website.

I did not see that, thank you. Can anyone chime in on what can be expected and differences in power between running a JB+ vs a stage 1?

ditch the exhaust and do a catless DP it's worth it trust me. That's the setup I run and it's FUN!!! DP $300 and the tune is the cost of exhaust you can run stage 2 and it's worth it. I'm scared to put an exhaust on it because it's loud now on factory exhaust.

Pushing companies like Walbro and E-Series to make an Upgraded fuel pump for our cars. Our fuel pumps are the weakest link and is where some meth compensates and adds fuel. We can make big power if someone can get us an upgraded HPFP.
We can see E85 one day if we have an upgrade. Just have to show these companies that there is a market in MINI with people modding. Not just elderly drivers. Lol

That would be cool I know my brothers mazdaspeed 3 they sell an upgraded spring an piston for his hpfp rather than buying a whole new pump you just swap over the internals

Still cost about 100-200$ I forget real price lol but still not bad
