07 N14 , same as you looks like ...
Mario from what I understand is in bed with JMTC turbos , I had bought a turbo from JMTC and decided it wasn't for me once I got it and returned it.
I'm just a stock motor...... never been apart....
no pistons
no rods
no big valve head.... or porting

This sounds like typical internet gossip. SMH

Manic lists an intercooler possibly being available on their website :"Intercoolers = Manic Motorsport ( Log in and post your name in the forum to be added to the mailing list and activate the pre launch offers)."

Anyone have any news or know anything about it? was planning on getting an intercooler and a stage 1 tune now that taxes are done.

The best intercoolers are:

1. Helix version 2
2. Forge

You can usually find a used one listed on the Marketplace.

I'd argue it's Wagner/Helix followed by Forge. The Wagner intercooler is definitely one to be considered as a top intercooler.

True story, bro. I have a Wagner FMIC in my JCW R60. There is a substantial difference in volume compared to stock.

Just a note of caution: If you're planning on putting a Wagner into a 2015+ R60, be prepared to fabricate a center support. The Wagner instructions tell you to drill into a frame member and bolt the intercooler center support to it, however the part they're talking about is probably three inches in front of where the tab for the mounting bold is located.

When I installed mine, I cut down a piece of 6061 aluminum rod (approximately 1/2" or 1.3 cm diameter) I had laying around, drilled and tapped both ends for a 6mm hex bolt, and then punched a hole through the frame. Wound up drilling additional holes in the bolt heads and the frame to run lockwire around both to keep them from coming loose.

The last thing I wanted to have happen was for the screws to come loose and the intercooler to go bouncing around the front of the radiator.

I have it on good authority that such things end poorly for all concerned.

If you would be stage 1, if you upgraded your intercooler you could go to stage 2

I went with the Wagner competition i think they call it. I can't compare it to anything since it is the only on i have ran. At first I was a little disappointed watching my IAT temps while riding around in town, once you start beating on the car and getting some mph (+90) she really starts to show its ability. The cast tanks and weight is what sold me on buying it.
just my 2cents

How much cooler are your IAT temps than ambient?

Like cerenkov said, its never below ambient. Depending on how long you maintain a certain speed, hills, traffic in front of you etc best I have seen is 1-2 degrees, average is 3-4. time plays into those numbers as well, 60mph vs 100mph, more air flowing at 100 so it recovers faster and cools better.

Yes when I spray meth AIT drop like a rock but that is only when your foot is in it building boost, not cruising down the highway. plus it depends on where you are injecting your meth, pre or post AIT. But its the meth not the intercooler causing that drop. Depending on who's tune your using some will reference the IAT and some don't.

I don't have a tune yet. JB+ with downpipe and a China intercooler. I was watching my temps the other day and just light cruising they stayed the same and 3-4 when I was driving hard. I guess this cheap cooler isn't all that bad.

I have heard the same about ALL coolers, until someone does some true bench testing its like shoes, which ones feel better, nike, cons, adidas etc.....
To me the real test is how much DP the cooler causes to cool.
we will leave that to another forum, its been discussed but never proven with our coolers.

Kind of a silly / simple question. Is there a "go-to" box size to ship ECU's out? Or does everybody just pickup whatever the ecu fits in?

Last box I used was 10.00" x 8.00" x 4.00". The ecu was wrapped in a layer or big bubble wrap and fit snug in the box.
