Wavetrac

Has anyone installed the Wavetrac LSD? Technically, it seems to me the Wavetrac is a bit better as the Quaife.

I used to have one in my Evo-8, and it is one of the best LSD in the market.

Cusco or Wavetrac wavetrac Cusco
Thought I had the decision made but Autoplicity sent me a Cusco for for a Toyota???
Now the price has jumped on the Cusco and I'm being cheap. I think for the track, Cusco is better as it offer locking under decal/braking...

First i have installed the quaife, but after less than a year I had loud noises. This was then sent to Quaife and replaced me after more than 5 months. Good customer service looks different. Since I did not want to wait so long, I have installed the Wavetrac. The Wavetrac is much better as the Quaife. Even after more than a year no problem. The response is much better. She also works in the wet, which was a problem with the Quaife. On icy ground the Quaife eg does not work at all.

For the street Wavetrac is clearly the better. In addition, it also works better on the track. But clearly for the pure track use, I would rather fit an LSD. An ATB (Quaife, Wavetrac, ...) do not function during braking. A ATB does not lock like a LSD, but shifts the torque. However, LSD is subject to a certain wear. Also must be replaced annually, the transmission oil. These are two important points that unfortunately many forget.

I asked Wavetrac about locking under braking and the impression I got was that it did not. I received some convoluted answer that, to me appeared to cover up that it did not
I'll go back and try to comprehend.

ATB works only in 1-Way.
LSD ist also available in 1-Way, 1.5-Way and 2-Way.

Do you need really a 2-Way LSD?
