Great thanks...scanned your thread, very helpful. Thinking OBDLink LX as we have Androids and Surface 3 Pro's. Or do you find the Wifi (MX) to have better sampling rates?

Probably get the Torque app for full time monitoring and ScanXL for logging? Don't really recognize anything on the Scan XL Pro...assuming standard is sufficient?

Interesting that the EGT's can be read off the O2 sensor...that could be very useful for testing.

Thanks again,
Steve

I haven't tried the new Wifi MX, but using the OBDLink Wifi, which is also connectable via USB, I see comparable sampling rates between USB and Wifi.

I'm sure that the standard version of ScanXL would be okay.

Ya, most of the info is available via standard OBD2. The only test I was able to perform on one of these DMEs would only allow 10 items logged at a time and I'm not sure it's worth it in that capacity.

I just got the OBDlink LX today and have downloaded both the Dash Command app and ScanXL so I'll try and play with it a bit before I drop the car off at Eurotechs tomorrow. In addition I know they'll be doing some logging with it as well so we should have some data soon.

That will log one item as a time of most supported OBD2 PIDs. Should be just fine.

Thanks for the heads up...we plan to use a OBD2 cable for logging and Dash Command/OBDlink for routine monitoring.

Steve, did you ever successfully devise a non-Cobb method for logging timing correction?

Hi everyone. Any updates on BMWLogger? ScanXL isn't as reliable as I'd imagine for the MINI Cooper.

Got a pop up message saying how fantastical their update is after reading your post have not updated. I don't feel like buying their over priced obd2 cable

Are you sure you have to buy their cable, is the update good for the user or just good for their cable sales?
