Manic tune + MiniDynamics service = HAPPINESS
I just had a bunch of performance mods done one my 2012 CM All4S auto trans and am TOTALLY happy with the outcome.
Until a couple of weeks ago the only mod I had done was adding an AFE flat panel filter.
I was excited to see that OBD tunes are now possible (Manic) and decided to go that route rather than sending off the ECU to RennTech or someone else. Also, I have had a TyrolSport FMIC laying around for a while (from the group buy a while back) that hadn't yet been installed. I also figured I'd have an upgraded exhaust installed to round out the package.
Since I recently relocated to the DC area I called up Scott at MiniDynamics (Centreville, VA), a Manic dealer, and after talking with him a while I decided to have him do the tune and install the FMIC and exhaust. I went with the Manic Level 1+ tune and got the SPS unit so I can switch between stock and the 3 performance levels of the 1+ tune. I also had Scott order a Borla cat-back exhaust (based on his suggestion). While I was away on a trip Scott got the FMIC installed and a Manic tune done, and also replaced my nasty old plugs with some NGK Laser Iridiums. A week later my exhaust arrived so I made another trip down to Scott to have him install that while I waited.
End result: my Countryman now KICKS ***. The amount of power the car has is unbelievable. And on top if it, my gas mileage is better than ever. I don't have access to a dyno, nor do I really care about the numbers -- the difference is incredible and very much worth the price.
A big thanks to Scott @ MiniDynamics for helping me choose the right mods and doing such an expert job installing them. I wholeheartedly recommend him to those in the DC area.

I am also in the area and recently had the Manic Stage 2 tune done at MiniDynamics to my 2007 R56s and love it. I have a cat less down pipe and the stage 2 map B tune, FMIC should be here soon, its the winter so I am cheating a little.
Put it on the dyno at MachV Motorsports in Chantilly:
To the wheels
194 HP
215 Lb/Ft
Big fan of the Manic Tune! Very smooth and drivable, pulls nice across a wide rev range and does not fall off up top.
Hope you enjoy it!

Today I think I'll take it for a spin on map C.....

I have not had the chance to rock map C yet. Is it a noticeable change from Map B?

Do you notice any lag with the K04? is the power "peaky"?
I am willing to trade a larger peak number for more area under the power curve, more torque and punchy-ness (new word) that does not fall off up top.

Check out the attachment.
My Stage 2 vs Stage 3 dyno sheet.
A lot more area under the curve.
I get a little bit more lag but it helps me out the power down. With the K03 I would just spin tires instantly.
Little bit of lag with K04 but soooo much torque. Sucked into your seat.

Well I know what turbo I will be ordering from JMTC this spring…
Grisld700,
Depends on the smoothing factor the dyno operator applies. You can smooth the peaks/avg it out to make a smooth line.
