Drivetrain Sprint Booster Question

Provides a more responsive throttle response via adjusting the throttle Map. No increase of power, and no less. It allows you to reach peak power quicker without lag. I do disagree with the nay Sayers that will tell you just stomp on your pedal and you will achieve the same effect. Don't know how to explain it, but the Sprint Booster improves throttle response the same way the Sport Button does on an N18 and also on most tunes. However, I don't recommend using it with a tune.

Not sure it will help your decision, but I bought the D1 Spec Throttle Controller. It has 7 Economy settings, 1 Normal setting and 9 Sport settings. You can toggle between Econ., Normal and Sport with one button. When you toggle between Econ. 1 to Normal it pushes you back in your seat and then between Normal to Sport 9 it sits you back in your seat again. Drop it from Sport 9 to Normal and you feel like your going to smack your head on the steering wheel if your not ready for a drop in the speed. This is with a constant pressure on the accelerator and not increasing your speed while switching. If my D1 were to fail I would buy another one as soon as I could to replace it. It is actually a lot of fun to play with and I am comstantly changing modes while I drive. Getting on the freeway I'm in Sport 7. Once I'm cruising I switch to Econ 7 with the cruise control on and have watched my "Miles to Empty" climb substantially. Once I went from 300 to 412 during a 25 mile freeway drive while in the Econ. mode.

The SB was fine for me, until I started adding HP to my car. With a bigger turbo, larger ported exhaust manifold, intake and everything else, I do have a tiny bit of lag so adding more TP is sometimes appealing. If I were to get one again, it would be the D1 because of its multiple selections, and compound that with the Sports button, the driver will have 18+ choices. The D1 and SB seem more suited for automatics, because the torque converter soaks up some of that harshness mQubed Motorsport, Manic Tuning Dealer

My bad, I was referring to the Sprint Booster. I am totally satisfied with the Throttel Map that my Manic Tune has. As far as sport button; I wish that thing would automatically turn on when I start up the MINI, LOL. I almost never drive with it off.
