Straight Pipe with Resonator Sound Clips?

Does anyone have video of a resonator only exhaust on their R53? I'm looking to put a JCW resonator on a Oem system that was straight piped. if it doesn't work out I have my one-ball system to fall back on.

Here's a video clip of my R53 with 2.5in piping and only one 18" vibrant resonator. It's definitely on the loud side, and does drone on the interstate with the windows up, but its not unbearable.

What resonator are you using? I'm looking to just add a JCW resonator to the stock pipe.

I like a sporty sound as much as anyone...but a straight pipe system with no appreciable backpressure can actually lose hp.

We'll find out. I just got a tune from RMW, so I'm wondering if back pressure is gonna mess things up which is why I'll keep my piping stock. I'll make sure I post a video once its done. Right now I need to get a gasket for the flange and then I'm looking around for some tips. Have you noticed any changes in performance or just more volume?

But most of your back pressure is held in the header and the cats... if you're running more boost and a tune I think you have more pressure that needs some relief.

I did it around the same time I did a WMW 16% pulley so I don't know how much gain was because of the exhaust. But I definitely noticed it pulled harder from about 4K to redline.

The whole tip situation was hard for me too because theres not many that will fit behind the battery box. I used a Redtail Performance oval tip. It just barely clears.

I got it done, but need to replace the tips and some piping cause the straight pipe work was terrible from the last own. Res was installed aright after the flange. I thin the low end torque is lessened a bit, high end may be there. If I put a muffler on it may be best. This is insanely loud lol. I'll try for video soon.

Yeah it is! But the sound is so good! Lol...I just installed a Megan header and it's way too much now. I have to get a muffler installed as well which should make it just right.

Finally got around to a rev up video. Need to do a drive by. Sounds good revving but when underload it sounds a little funny, right at 3k.
