Clutch Kit Opinions

Anyone have a review they would like to share of the Valeo clutch kit that ECS offers as a replacement for stock?

https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2012-...Clutch_Kit/OE/

I'm looking at picking up a Sachs flywheel and use the Valeo clutch, if it is worth its price. Half the price of stock....

OEM clutch is the Valeo. You can see it on the friction disc.

So, the Valeo kit is the same, just less expensive? The cost effective option to the OEM kit? Does the Valeo kit come with the pressure plate bolts?

Yep, just not in the pictures, we will update those. It has them in a little bag inside the box.

I NEVER recommend going with the aftermarket on a clutch setup like this even if they are considered "oem" as we have found the quality standards are not the same and been less than reliable. A clutch job is a ton of work and expense so I don't want to do it a second time for free. Go with an original clutch kit and keep it reliable.

and match it to the stock flywheel

I appreciate the input. What’s your take on the Sachs dual mass flywheel as a replacement for the OEM?
