Hissing whistling noise from engine bay.

Hey Nam,

I have an 11 MCS. 110k and has some bolt ons but still stock turbo. Recently I have noticed that I have some oil seepage around my valve cover, and the pcv tube as well. I had an incident about a month ago where I was idling the car for about 20 minutes and it started to smoke out of the tailpipe and shortly after about a week I noticed that the car at idle is making a somewhat loud hissing noise that sounds like it is coming from the passenger corner of the valve cover but I am not currently losing boost or have any CELs. Car still hold 18-19 lbs of boost steady to 5k. I was wondering if anyone knows about pcv failures because I know they are integrated into the valve cover and I am wondering if this would cause the car to smoke and make this noise at idle? Any input is appreciated.

Mr grumpy posted a thread on how to cheaply change out the pcv diaphragm. It is probably torn and that causes the whistle.
