Drivetrain Street/ track clutch

I am a fan of steel flywheels, and you can get them as light as 14# (ACT #600315). A lightweight flywheel will gain revs a bit faster, but they can be a royal pain in stop&go heavy traffic or starting on steep hills. (San Francisco is nearby for me.) Our R53's are low-compression, and don't have a lot of torque below 2500 RPM. That's why the R53 comes with flywheel that's almost 10# heaver than the R50, because a spinning flywheel stores torque for launch.

xtd stage 3 on that car. the new build is going to have a adlerspeed twin plate. Still waiting on a flywheel for the adlerspeed setup.
On the street the valeo does not slip, cant get the engine/trans hot enough for it to be a problem I use a valeo on my BVH car that has at least 40 more HP and it does not slip because it's only used on the street

I have the exedy SMF conversion kit on my R53. It's my daily and I do 2-4 track days a year. I have nearly 20,000 miles on it and it's been flawless so far. The pedal is lighter than stock, but it has a good feel and noticeably responsive throttle. I also think that the flywheel can be used with some upgraded friction discs or spring plates if I wanted to.
