Drivetrain G35 v. MCS

G35 v. MCS
What do you think would win? I'm talking about a G35 automatic with intake and test pipes (cat-delete pipes) on an otherwise stock motor and a stock G35 6MT. MCS would be 'slightly' modded. Let me define 'slightly'... HAI, 19% pulley, larger injectors, and GIAC. Who do you think would win? I personally think the MCS would beat the automatic G35 but lose to the G35 6MT. Now add headers (with race cat) and cat-back exhaust. Would the results be any different? I think with a full exhaust added to the mix it would keep up with, if not overtake the G35 6MT...
What is your input on this? Any of you with modded MCS's that are close (as far as performance mods) to what i mentioned above actually race a G35? I ask this because I will be in the market for an MCS soon and plan on doing the mods mentioned. Two of my friends have G35's (as described above) and i would like to see where i would be at in terms of 0-60 and most importantly quarter mile.
Thanks.

now, tracking, that maybe a different story, speeds are higher and the mini's intercooler can better keep the engine cool... on the track though, my money's still on a G35
now.. autocross, throw in a tight course, and the mini starts to excel!
so the bottom line is that no matter how much you want it to, a mini will probably never out-drag a G35 (of coze, el would disagree with me here!)
if you want a mini to out-drag a G35, get twincharge!

A G35 would spank your MCS at the drag strip. Sorry, it's just the facts. RWD and that fantastic V6 is too much for a go kart like ours...
HOWEVER, at Steets of Willow, a local track, I keep up with (and sometimes beat) my friend's EVO 8, and he's got 400hp and suspension modifications
Take em to your local track and show them what REAL performance is

See now i don't see why a mini couldn't out-drag a G35...The automatic G35 runs a 14.7 quartermile time with a 5.7? 0-60, and a G35 6MT runs a 14.2 quartermile time with a 5.3? 0-60... I'm pretty confident that a mini with the mods listed could run low-mid 14s (14.3-14.5) (with a good driver of course)... Anyone else have any input?
These quartermile times beg to differ with the input so far...

i used to have a 2004 350z, a 2004 MCS and i currently have a regular 2005 MC. actually the new 2005 G35 has more horses than the 2005 350Z. and from driving the Z, your MCS with any mod you want to put on it would get bit$h slapped by the g35 in a drag race. go test drive the G35 or better yet the 350Z. that will pretty much answer your question. the torque on the VQ V6 motor is unbelievable.

Evidently you're unaware of the Twincharge mod. That G35 hasn't a prayer, nor the Z for that matter. In a rolling accel on a highway in Philly one twincharged car left an M-coupe in its wake. ...It wasn't a surprise attack either, the 'rolling drag' was planned and executed - no holds barred!
What's that you were saying?
Where's that El diablito guy when you need him

You seriously need a rear facing digi-videocam! ...The looks on peoples faces (captured for posterity) would be priceless.

I have a mildly modded G35C and MCS but I can't drive both at the
same time, so not sure who would win. ...nor do I care to find out.
The MCS is a much more accurate and sportier ride than the G35C
without a doubt, but the G35C has other qualities in the car that
can not be duplicated by the MCS.
How I look at it, G35C is a nice dressup car with tasteful lines
and exciting exhaust tone, more of a quiet, mature cruiser type car...
while the MCS is a super fun to drive, nible sports-car like coupe
in a fun, unique package. If I was going to the track, I would
take out my MCS without a doubt. If I was going to a classy
dinner party with the wife, I'll the the G35C out.
how's that for comparison?
