How to Remove Injectors from Fuel Rail

Can someone give me directions on how to do this? I have removed the black steel lock holding the injectors and fuel rail together but still it won't come off. Are the injectors threaded into the fuel rail or do I just pull the injectors out? Do I need to depressurize the fuel rail to do this? Thanks!!

Just pull (with some force, but not much). They come outta there, I promise.

Be sure you disconnect the fuel rail from the fuel lines before doing so.

RedBaron,

Do you mean using as much force as when you pull the injectors and fuel rail out of the head? I already have the fuel rail off the car and in my lap, all lines are out. Thanks!

As long as the clips holding the injectors in the rail have been removed - they will pull out. It may require some force.

To remove the injectors, remove the clips that hold them in using a needle nose pliers. Then gently remove the injector by pulling. if it does not come out rock is slightly back and forth while pulling. That should get it out.
