You have the black filter?

It is a bit harder to tell when it is dirty. You can clean it before it actually needs it w/o damaging the filter. You do need a foam filter cleaner and oil. DO NOT use a K&N filter cleaner or oil. You can pick up a UNI Filter cleaning kit at just about any motorcycle shop and many car parts stores. Or you can order a kit from Alta.

Thanks! When I got the filter (used) it didn't seem to have any oil on it that I could tell. I will go get a cleaning kit and give it a good cleaning. I have the red filter so I guess it will be easier to tell when its dirty.

That would rock, I love foam filters... and the JCW cost is crazy. Though I do need to research the new microfiber filters...

LOOK POST 1000 YEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!

On the JCW filters I jsut got done ringing Jeff's neck. He swears he will have it ASAP.

The GP diverter was/is going to be made, but the demand vs. other items currently has held it back. My apologies for the delay!

You guys rule! POST 1000!!!!!!

so the new "stealth" exhaust looks killer.
what am I going to have to do to put it on my cabrio? extensive?

why are we convertible owners forgotten about? whats the ratio of confined S's vs the convertibles? I know I'm in the minority as a cabrio owner, but curios to the actual numbers.

At one point, I read cabrios were 1 in 5 (but that's only during the years they were produced -- when you factor in the 02-04 hardtops, the ratio would be much less)

Edit: here ya go --
http://www.gbmini.net/wp/mini_sales/

About 15% of MINIs in US.

thats not very many, but then again, our broad country has a variety of weather so its easy to see why they sell more hardtops then convertibles.

^ And it's actually closer to 30% if you only count the full convertible production years 2005-2008

Question on end-links

Hi there. I've converted my R53 to R56 Al trailing arms. The length of the mounting bolt for the end-link on the adjustable arms is about 3/8th of an inch too short (the Al arms are thicker than the steel ones). Do you have replacement ends (not the whole link) that fit the R56 arms?

Thanks,

Matt

Hardly anything. The new design lays in there pretty easily actually. What year is your cabrio? The first years are the worst as they used a different X brace in the back. The later years require only minor changes to make it fit.

Hope that helps.

Yes we can sell you the rod ends from the AMP-SUS-415 which is the new style for the R56 and GP cars rear endlinks.

I don't have a price, but call or e-mail me and I can work it out for you!

Thanks again!

I have a 2005 MCSc for what its worth. I hadn't even thought about blacking out the exhaust until I saw your system. Nice work Alta!

What exactly are "minor changes"? I assume I will need it redone at a muffler shop? Are we talking minor hanger adjustments? Or rebends?

Thank you.
(ps. just installed my Air Diverter and LOVE the way it looks)
