Drivetrain monster force intake

I have a monster inake on my cooper and I am very pleased with it. It came with an "air ramp" that is a nice powdercoated metal peice that goes below the filter to direct air from the stock cold air feed around the filter. It seems that when the cars moving that it stays relatively cool since the metal is very cool to the touch after a hard run.
Im not sure where the actual filter resides on the S model intake. I would be concerned with heat if it's pushed way back into the engine compartment without a sheild (like some of the other brands).
I'd give them a call to talk with them if you have questions. They were very helpful in whenever I talked with anyone there.

It is way back in the engine compartment and it doesn't have a shield. I haven't used one of these, but after speaking with Alex who has one, it seems the design is lacking the heat shield. Bummer. Contact them and see if they have a fix under development.
Their car looks great though! I like the name too - Monster MINI just sounds mean
