Motor Mount Q

I need to know if the two types of upper motor mounts that come on the cooper S are interchangeable. I am talking about the driver's right upper mount. My car came equipped with the mount that doesn't have the extra lateral support. I just have that big horse shoe alluminum piece and the weird cone shaped mount.

I am running solid engine mounts and I broke the big alluminum piece completely in half. I am thinking that the other design will work much better.

Here are pictures of the two mounts I am talking about. The one with the twin charge kit is the mount I have. The other mount is the one I want to use.

You will need to weld a special nut between the 2 layers of sheetmetal.

You should have 2 holes, but only one with a threaded nut in there.
