Another pre cat removed
Last night my stock exhaust broke at the pre cat weld. When I had it out I noticed that the pre cat had been smashed up from driving with it broken. I decided to pull out the core (thanks to willy69 for having the idea fresh in my head). Welded it up and it feels great. The power is smooth from 2k to redline and the sound is perfect. Also, the jerkyness when getting on and off the gas seems to be gone.
I'll have to let the adaptations settle in before final judgement, but so far so good. I do know that this set up flows more air because my multiplicative fuel trim doubled from 2.3% before to 5.5% after.
Thanks for the idea willy69.
I can't wait til my next trip to the drags.
