What's with those funky brakes? Would there be any advantage/disadvantage to something like those??

Grinder As for the Storm Brakes that Diamond Racing sells, this previous thread had some discussion about them.
I think a lot of people basically said that the wavy rotor reduced the overall surface area for the pad contact. It seemed that most folks wrote them off at that point saying that Brembos or other Big Brake Kits would provide better overall performance. However, DRG stands by the product and claims to like them quite well. Another advantage was that they fit in the OEM wheels without any modifications.
I haven't looked, but I'm curious how the price compares to the Brembo's and other Big Brake Kits. I guess I'm thinking that if the price is lower, then it could be a nice compromise for the infrequent track day, etc. Possibly you could improve performance (and even aesthetics) without going full-out on race-grade kits. ??? (I'm asking not telling.)
