Drivetrain Chrono pack questions

Chrono pack questions
Did a search but came up with 0. Those of you with chrono packs, you have an oil temp/oil pressure gauge in the group:
1. Where and how does the factory place it's sending units for these readings?
2. Is the oil temp read off of the drain plug?
3. Where is your oil pressure sender located?
4. Does your sender replace the oil light sender the rest of the non-chrono pack Mini's have?
5. Does the chrono pack option do away with the oil light? If not...are there two senders or ????????
Much thanks!

1. I suspect pressure is from oil filter housing; usually in same location as oil pressure switch ( for warning light) Bentley shows switch in the housing.
In general terms, manufacturers use a pressure sensor with a low presssure switch incorerated into one unit.
2. No, drain plugs are the same.
3. See #1
4. Yes, it appears so.
5. No, the warning light still exists. Bentley manual covers '04 models so I have no info as to exact locations and wiring. I looked at my car and there is a lime green multiplug on a sender/sensor near the oil filter. It's possible that this sensor does all three functions.
Sorry I can't answer all your questions, hope this helps
